Mirror with shelf Oskar - colours
-
plywood
-
flat-packed
Oskar was designed for entryways to bring a little order to the chaos of everyday life. In the mirror, you can quickly check if you look as awesome as always, while the shelf underneath serves as a safe harbour for your keys and wallet. No more frantic morning searches for essentials all over the apartment. For the more organized among us, the shelf can hold your favourite trinket. Oskar certainly won't get lost in the bathroom either; there's plenty of room on the shelf for toothpaste and a toothbrush.
This version of Oskar is for those who aren't afraid to express their opinion. We swapped the natural wood for plywood and dressed it in bold colours.
Design that plays with contrasts
We took the pure, round shape of the mirror - a symbol of calm and infinity - and added a shelf that has a mind of its own. Its shape is intentionally angular, but to keep it from being too severe, we rounded just one corner. It’s a little design rebel that disrupts symmetry in exactly the right, playful way.
Why you'll fall in love with it:
- Distinctive style: Original shapes combined with rich colours create an unmissable element in your interior.
- Honest material: The base is made of quality plywood, no particle board that disintegrates if you look at it the wrong way. It is a solid and durable material that lasts.
- Assembly for mortals: You can get it on the wall easily using two wall plugs and screws. Anyone can do it, even without an engineering degree.
Choose your mood:
We offer Oskar in this variant in three carefully selected shades that will brighten up any wall:
- Very cool Blue (RAL 5002)
- Ruby Red (RAL 3003)
- Dark Green (RAL 6009)

CARE and ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
MATERIAL
WOOD
Karlen furniture is made from solid wood – you can choose from oak, beech or ash wood.
Solid wood is a natural material and therefore every piece has its unique texture, slightly different structure and colour. Natural differences are also in the structure and color of the stem itself (eg radial - tangential section of the stem or the middle - outer part). Color differences are completely normal for solid wood and therefore do not represent a defect in the material. Each piece of furniture will be slightly different and therefore original.
When choosing a product please do not forget that all screens are different, and displayed colour on your screen might be slightly different then the real one. Some of our products will be on display in Place Store shops, in Olomouc and Prague (Czech republic).
Sharp and pointed objects should not come in contact with the furniture surface. Do not use aggressive stain removers and cleaners - use regular, dry or a slightly damp, cloth to clean.
It is necessary to immediately clean any dirt or spilled liquids to avoid penetration to wood. Varnish treated surface can be damaged and the color of oiled treated surface can change when in contact with hot dishes (tea cups, hot pans etc.). This can be avoided by using coaters and trivets.
If the surface of oiled furniture is scratched or its colour has changed due to exposure of hot surfaces or liquids, it can be easily repaired - the damaged area must be (1) sanded in direction of the wood fibres with fine sandpaper and (2) finished with a sanding cloth. Then (3) a furniture oil in a matching shade (we will be happy to advise you which oil to use) should be applied and any excess oil wiped out after 1-2 minutes with a dry cloth. Repeat steps (2 & 3) the next day. Any lighter colour of the treated area should unify over time.
Oil treated wood care
Oil treated surface requires regular care to last longer. Dust from wooden parts should be removed with a soft, clean and dry duster from a lint-free material (cotton, linen). Any spilled liquids should be immediately wiped from the surface with a textile or paper towel. Any dirt should be removed and wiped clean immediately from the surface to prevent stains.
We recommend checking the oiled treated furniture regularly and, if necessary, applying a new layer of oil. During production, wood may absorb oil unevenly, and therefore the surface may be more rough or porous in some places. The oil itself also dries naturally. Any rough and abraded places, shiny edges, stains, minor scratches, dirt from shoes, etc. can also be repaired with a new layer of oil.
Never use concentrated or abrasive cleaning agents (abrasive and polishing pastes, powders), as this will damage and scratch the oiled surface.
Varnish treated wood care
Varnish treated surface is usually not difficult to maintain. Dust from wooden parts should be removed with a soft, clean and dry duster from a lint-free material (cotton, linen). Any spilled liquids should be immediately wiped from the surface with a textile or paper towel. Any dirt should be removed and wiped clean immediately from the surface to prevent stains.
Cleaning and care with special furniture products is not necessary. However, if you use them, the manufacturer's instructions must be followed, and the products must first be tested in a less visible place.
Never use concentrated or abrasive cleaning agents (abrasive and polishing pastes, powders), as this will damage and scratch the treated surface. Never use polishes or other products containing oils and waxes on the surface, as uneven shiny spots will form on the surface.
METAL PARTS
The surface of the metal parts of our products is powder coated. Powder coated surface is easily scratched, so we recommend increased caution when handling the product without any packaging and avoiding contact with sharp and pointed objects. We make sure that our products are properly packed to prevent scratches during shipment. But in the unfortunate case that the product is damaged on its way to you, please let us know within 2 days of reception, and ideally include some photographic evidence. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept complaints after this time, as we have no way of verifying that the damage did not appear after the product was delivered.
Any material we use is of Czech origin.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Follow the assembly instructions step by step when assembling the furniture. The packaging includes all the tools and fasteners necessary. We recommend assembling tables on a soft surface (blankets, carpets). This will prevent scratching the tabletop.
Furniture damage due to incorrect assembly cannot be claimed.
In the absence of tools or fasteners, please let us know and we will immediately send you everything you need.
Our furniture is intended for indoor use (unless specified differently), when used outdoors / in extremely humid environment, wood can absorb moisture from the environment and dimensions of individual parts might change. This can cause the product to slightly bend (exceptionally small cracks can occur). If the product is exposed to excessive moisture before it is assembled, individual parts may not fit together. We recommend assembling the furniture within 48 hours of its purchase / delivery. In the event of dimensional changes due to incorrect storage, the product cannot be claimed. In this case, we recommend storing the product in a dry place at room temperature, its dimensions should be levelled again within a few days.
A product that has been deformed by improper storage cannot be claimed. Improper storage means failure to assemble the product within the specified period (within 48 hours of receipt), its exposure to excessive humidity or adverse conditions (storage outdoors, in direct sunlight, rain or snow).
